Fret Board Scalloping
We now offer partial and full fret board scalloping options.
Our progressive scalloping option is the most popular. With a very light scallop at 1st fret and progresses to a deeper scallop at the last fret.
We can also keep the scalloping light up to a fret position of your choosing before becoming gradually deeper. Great for players with a heavy touch that still want to bend without restriction but maintain good intonation.
Please be aware that, fret scalloping is irreversible and care should be taken to chose a guitar that you intend to keep with scalloped frets.
We may refuse to do this service on any vintage ,rare or valuable guitars.

This Very rich almost ox blood colour wood is very dense and lightly figured but is clean and free from defects and pitch pockets. We have sections that can be used to make laminated necks and one piece necks. Due to its weight it is more suitable as a laminate piece with other contrasting woods as was done on the espresso Build. See photos below. Available
Golden Phoebe Tops AAAA Grade https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phoebe_zhennan
This rare and highly prized collection of top woods is something very unique. We purchased these tops back in 1995 before it was listed on the IUCN red list as vulnerable in 1998. Once only available to the Chinese royal family, the wood became more popular with everyday wood workers and furniture makers and is now endangered. The wood does not require any paper work and is not restricted for use or export once it is made into an instrument. It is not yet on the CITES list. it has a golden yellowish to brown hue and deep undulating figure. The wood can appear green to olive green with finish and does not require stain. we have thin book matched tops that can be used for a flat top body like a telecaster. Bending this wood is not advisable although it can be done.

This one off birds Eye black butt drop top is already shaped into a guitar based on a previous design. It is unique and very little figured black butt is seen. It is a creamy white to light brown and looks amazing under a high gloss lacquer. Available

We have a limited supply of stunning fiddle back Red Gum fret board blanks. They have a very rich deep red colour with a fiddle back figure that is very prominent. Requires a lacquer or oil varnish finish. Available

We have two spalted maple drop tops , book matched that can be bent over an arm contour on a strat style or custom build. They are a light honey colour but will turn dark golden Brown when finish is applied. Available
American Back Walnut One Piece Body Blank
We have one only , one piece American Black walnut body blank. The blank is large enough for most guitar build and is approximately 55 mm to 65 mm thick. it has a very clean grain and is a light chocolate brown that will become darker with finish applied. Suitable for most guitars but not explorer or V type guitars. Available
5 String bass incomplete project needs a new lease on life.
We have a neck through Long scale 5 string bass that was commissioned almost 5 years ago. The build was canceled after the customer got very sick and could no longer complete the build. It has a Mackay cedar book matched top and walnut body with a 5 piece laminated walnut and jarrah neck. The guitar has a jarrah fretboard and tilt back head stock. The set has a Schaller high mass bridge in black and needs everything else. This guitar is in the very early stages of the build and still requires a lot of work. This guitar was a sister guitar to the Evolution One build pictured below. The same timbers are used with the exception of sycamore and silky oak. Please call for more details on what is required to finish this guitar.

EspressoEspresso is a custom handmade strat style guitar for the modern player. While it offers much of the styling of a 50's era Strat, it features all the latest technology such as no load potentiometers, Nichicon tone capacitors, Fender vintage voiced pickups and a babicz E cam tremolo bridge, Schaller Da'Vinci machine heads, dual truss rod with spoke wheel adjust at the fingerboard end, Gold Evo Jumbo frets on a flamed Gabon ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. The guitar features a Graph-tech tusq nut and American black walnut, Bookmatched Jarah center core and silky oak laminated neck for ultimate tuning stability and tone transfer. The body is alder finished in fiesta red nitrocellulose lacquer.

The Heritage OneThe Heritage one is a custom built 8 string lap steel guitar with a Rickenbacker scale length. It features a single custom voiced humbucking pickup, bourns volume and tone controls and a Nichicon tone capacitor. The guitar has a solid Brass handmade nut and a fully adjustable bridge. This lap steel is suited to any genre and can produce rich and fiery rock tones or sweet crystal clear vintage rock and Hawaiian tones.

The guitar was revealed to its new owner at an epic private show. Bigfoot truly is one of a kind. A left handed 62 strat style guitar in shell pink Nitro Cellulose. Sapele mahogany 2 piece book matched body. Fiddle back ash neck with a titanium heal adjust dual action truss rod which, is removable. Two carbon fiber stiffening rods. 22 medium jumbo gold evo frets. With a 9.5 Inch radius. This Jet black African Ebony fret board has a custom 12th fret inlay hand cut from Japanese gold pearl. A handmade solid brass neck plate custom engraved. A rounded modern heal carve that is tapered to thin the neck joint for amazing access.Tone Rider Blues Alnico 2 pickups. Gotoh 510 tremolo bridge with the bar on top SRV style. Gotoh F style machine heads. CTS pots and CRL 5 way switch. Vishay tone capacitors. Neck and bridge pickup switching option via a mini toggle and a hand made polished bone nut. This guitar couldn't be in better hands.

Velociraptor
Velociraptor is a one off custom build. Commissioned by a long time customer. The guitar is completely handmade using mostly hand tools. Featuring a 25 inch (PRS) scale length, Gold Evo medium low frets, Floyd Rose tremolo, 2 humbucking pickups, Panasonic tone caps. burns pots and switch craft pickup selector and output jack. The guitar has a locking nut, Gotoh premium tuners, a 2 way truss rod and custom head stock design tilted back at 9 degrees. The hand carved body contours make this guitar deliciously comfortable to play. Finished in a natural oil and french polish, the body is pacific maple with a rare and highly figured Sapele drop top. silky smooth and ultra fast playing guitar with an ancient African ebony jet black fingerboard and over sized Abalone dot inlays.

Evolution One represents a new direction in quality custom guitar building. Designed from the ground up to be super light weight and thin while maintaining good balance and rock solid tone. The guitar is a neck through design with a 5 piece book matched laminated neck consisting of american black walnut and sycamore. The neck is glued to a laminated body of southern silky oak and Queensland walnut and its neck relief is controlled by a custom handmade TIG welded stainless steel dual action truss rod. The guitar features a stunning one of a kind book matched 17 mm solid Mackay cedar (red sirus) carved top. The head stock is caped with the same Mackay cedar from the top wood with a matching truss rod cover. The guitar has 24 medium gold EVO frets on an Australian Ringed Gidgee Fret board with a 12 inch radius, Abalone dot inlays and a 25 inch PRS type scale length. For unsurpassed playing comfort and stunning tone transfer, we have chosen the Schaller Hanes Bridge with Graphtec saddles. For tuning stability we have chosen to use a Tusq synthetic bone nut and custom made Spertzel aluminium locking tuning machines. The guitar also features Seymour Duncan distortion Mayhem humbucking pickups mounted directly to the body. The electronics are very special also, with coil split on each pickup, series or parallel switching and in or out of phase options for both pickups. We have used CTS pots, Switch craft pickup switch and output jack, Nichicon tone capacitors and Klotz wiring.
