Amplifier Repair Pricing
Repair cost for amplifiers is difficult to list. Each amplifier will present its own challenges and needs. The cost to repair any device including amplifiers, is totally dependent on an individual estimate. We have included some guides for common issues based on previous repairs. All Pricing is provided as a guide only. Any final cost agreements should be based on a case by case inspection and estimate.
For pricing on Messa Boogie, VHT, Laboga or any boutique amplifier, Please call. All Amplifier repair costs are subject to inspection. We will inspect your amplifier and provide an estimate. The prices do not include replacement valves or speakers, transformers or any or any other major item unless listed. Once an estimate has been provided,We will usually require up front payment in most cases as the outlay in parts and labor is normally substantial. In some cases only a part deposit will be required. We will advise.
Your amplifier may not need major servicing. In most cases providing it is not a vintage amplifier, it can be resolved during the basic maintenance. The best course of action is to bring the amplifier in for an estimate.
Basic amplifier maintenance. Most Amplifiers
Locate and repair cracked or dry solder joints
Clean pots and jacks
Clean heat sink and fans
Clean valve sockets, valve pins and glass.
Check and adjust output valve Bias or solid state bias if required.
Clean out cabinet and Tolex
Re glue lose or torn Tolex where possible
Test all functions.
report any issues and advise on future service needs.
Normally $220.00 depending on model and its design.
Additional items will require that an estimate be provided. We will advise before commencing any work.
Major service.
Small combos such as Marshall Valve state or MG series amps. Some Fender amps.
Replace all electrolytic capacitors ( does not include large Can type caps)
Locate and repair cracked or dry solder joints
Clean pots and jacks.
Replace input jacks if required
Replace power cord if necessary.
Clean heat sink and fans
Clean valve sockets, valve pins and glass.
Test all valves.
Check and adjust output valve Bias or solid state bias if required.
Clean out cabinet and Tolex
Re glue lose or torn Tolex where possible
Normally between $280.00 and $380.00 depending on model and its design.

Larger combos and heads such as Fender Deluxe or twin reverb amps Marshall JCM series etc.
Replace all electrolytic capacitors ( does not include large Can type caps)
